A BIG July ahead!

Hello from Ecuador!

We pray this letter finds each of you doing well and enjoying your summer! We are getting ready to be totally consumed with our 2nd annual VBS and wanted to get this letter out prior to the craziness; primarily to plead for you to cover us and everyone involved in prayer! We have been slammed trying to get everything ready and still have a lot to do and other things that will only happen by divine intervention! As we mentioned in our last letter, we haven’t had space to have Sunday school for the little children and just no additional space to do the extra-curricular activities we feel we need to be doing. We started building the fence and getting ready for the playground to be installed, when we made the decision to start a Sunday school room in a little nook on the church property that we hadn’t previously thought much about. It is difficult to explain how it will be, but we also are hoping to build a kitchen directly across from the new school room as well, under the same roof. We started this room by faith and just ask for prayer to be able to finish it!

So the workers/contractor have been working non-stop since April and still have quite a bit of work to do. We are still waiting for the playground materials to arrive (a long story) and hoping that it makes it before July 2nd! Supposedly, it only takes two days to assemble and install everything.

We have a team of 9 people coming from Byron Center, MI (close to Grand Rapids) that arrive on July 3rd and the VBS starts on July 5th! We have a LOT that needs to happen before the 5th, so we simply ask you to keep all this in your prayers! We were hoping to be able to buy that house we mentioned in the last letter, but after talking to the owner personally, it doesn’t seem like they will sell it to us. The rumor around town is because we are Evangelicals and the owner is Catholic. We don’t really know and we will continue to pray that the Lord’s will be done!
Apart from the VBS, kids, and youth ministries, the adult ministries are really growing and bearing fruit! We have new members and the believers that have been coming are really getting involved and helping tremendously with all the ministries we have going on. It has been such a great encouragement and blessing and we want you all to know that it wouldn’t be happening without you and your sacrifices! I long for your prayers; that the Lord would give me wisdom on what to preach and where to focus spiritually. That the Lord would give our team and me strength, patience, and wisdom.
In Christ,
Andy, Priscilla, and kids
